Tried the Hijiki Fish Dumpling & Mango Curry Shrimp and was very glad I did, both extremely good, the flavor of the curry is rather special.

We love this cozy spot with impeccable service. Wed never ordered in from Aux Epices before on Seamless. I was in a ramen -soupy type mood from walking in the cold. I chose my favorite the Seafood Laksa stocked with fresh salmon, shrimp, calamari... the fat rice noodles came separately as did the spicy broth and a 3rd container for the fixins. This kept things warm and not over cooked. I also ordered some buns & the greens which come in a large portion cooked just right, again not overdone with a little oil, soy, garlic - I think, crunchy & yummy. The order was so big I couldnt eat it all last night.

This place is major! You can paint pottery nearby at Color Me Mine also on Baxter and top off a great date at Aux Epices.

Very caring owners and staff. Recommend highly as the French (husband) and Malaysian (wife) really know how to mix it up. Something for everyone.

We recommend it to our in town and out of town corporate meeting guests as its a short walk from our creative offsite and photo shoot locations at SoHoSoleil. @colormeminetribeca @auxepices @sohosoleil @moca

We have no connection to the pottery place but as a NYC artist-in-residence its one of my favorite haunts as is MOCA the Museum of Chinese in the Americas also close by! So try going to these venues and eating in by @seamless!

Wow. This restaurant is incredible. I ordered 4 items and each was more delicious than the last. I was a big fan of the owners' last restaurant, Franklin Station Cafe, which was a TriBeCa gem before it closed, and couldn't believe my luck when I saw Aux Epices on seamless. Not only is the food excellent, but the owners are so nice. I spoke to them yesterday after I had put in my order and asked if they were planning on ever putting a shrimp sandwich they had on the menu at Franklin Station Cafe on their current menu (my favorite sandwich of all time, one that I've been trying to recreate for years now) and they offered to make it for me! Best day ever... I can only hope they put it back on the menu permanently. Bottom line, try this place. You won't regret it. And don't skip out on dessert, you will be very pleasantly surprised!

I haven't written a review on Seamless before but I feel like you should know that this food is worth trying. I just finished the Terengganu Shrimp and it was phenomenal. Really weird and beautiful food - nothing like what I was expecting. I can't even really say what was in it other than a lot of fun surprises. Only caveats are that the food portions are relatively small and it's not cheap. Still, totally worth it.

wonderful!! i had the chicken curry soup, the ribs and pork belly buns. The ribs were unbelievably delicious and the soup was extremely tasty as well. I was not a huge fan of the pork belly buns because they were a little sweet but i was unfamiliar of what a pork bun was exactly so that was my fault. I would HIGHLY reccomend this place! delivery was fast but I only live about 3 blocks.

I remember this restaurant from when it was Franklin Cafe in TriBeCa! My order came very quickly despite the distance, and the food was still hot and as delicious as I remembered it. They also threw in a few free cookies. Food was packaged neatly, and I like how they separated the noodles from the broth so it wouldn't get soggy. Highly recommended.

Today

After five years of various adventures, we have found a great and intimate place on Baxter Street to serve our delicious fare from Franklin Station Cafe, and then some. "Aux Epices", Our aptly named Malaysian Bistro, is between Chinatown and Little Italy, but the cuisine and service are unique in this little oasis amidst cookie-cutter restaurants. Our dishes are natural, healthy and hearty, grounded in Malaysian roots and accentuated by Chef Mei Chau's International Bistro creativity and flair. The ambience and decor are equally warm and inviting, providing a welcoming, comfortable and pleasing setting among Marc Kaczmarek's photographic works of art with a marvelous and unexpected selection o plementary to our unique culinary experience. Our Cappuccino rivals any in the city. As we have in the past, we will continue providing take-out and delivery.
